Rain master of Shennong’s age who entered fire unharmed and floated with wind and rain.

Chisongzi, Master Red Pine, was the rain master of Shennong’s age who ate jade water and could walk through fire without harm, floating up and down with wind and rain. He dwelt in a stone chamber on Kunlun, and later Daoists counted him among the oldest immortals. To “follow Red Pine” became a phrase for leaving the world to pursue transcendence.
