Lord of the Nine Li

Mighty leader of the Nine Li tribes, famed metal-headed warrior defeated by the Yellow Emperor at Zhuolu.

Chi You was the mighty leader of the Nine Li tribes, remembered in myth with a bronze head and iron forehead. He summoned wind and rain against the Yellow Emperor, only to be defeated at Zhuolu with the aid of the rain goddess Nüba and other celestial powers. Though a vanquished foe, Chi You was honored as the God of War and ancestor of the war god cult.
