Strange six-footed, four-winged snake of Taihua Mountain whose sighting foretold great drought.

Feiyi is the serpent of Taihua Mountain described in the Shanhaijing with six feet and four wings. Wherever it appears, great drought follows. The creature joins a family of omen animals that announce calamity before it comes, and its name was also given to a bird of the eastern mountains that foretold famine.
