Yinglong

The Winged Dragon

A winged rain dragon who helped the Yellow Emperor defeat Chi You and aided Yu the Great in taming the floods.

Yinglong is the winged dragon of Chinese myth. The Shanhaijing says he dwelled in the northeast wilds and slew Chi You for the Yellow Emperor, then helped Yu the Great control the Great Flood by drawing river courses with his tail. As master of rain he was honored in prayers for rain.
