In the Kingdom of Biqiu, the national father-in-law convinces the ailing king that a thousand and more children’s hearts will cure him. Sun Wukong spirits the children away and exposes the minister as the white deer of the Star of Longevity, whose fox daughter is slain; the star descends to reclaim his mount. The episode turns a court scandal into a lesson about trusting only what the eye can verify.
