Diminutive immortal disciple who travels a thousand li underground and weds Deng Chanyu.

Tu Xingsun, disciple of the immortal Juliu Sun, stands less than four feet tall yet can travel a thousand li a day by burrowing through the earth. Stealing his master’s immortal-binding rope, he descends the mountain to serve the Shang commander Deng Jiugong and seizes the general’s daughter Deng Chanyu in battle. Through the mediation of Yang Jian and others the dwarf weds his captive, then turns his art of surprise attack to the Zhou cause — tunneling beneath city walls and battle lines where no warrior can follow.
